Sound creates atmospheres that are impossible to communicate in visual media, so I record ambient sound, particularly interactions with people. This collection provides a brief insight into some of these, stories that begin, end and repeat within larger narratives.

During the peak tourist season on the island of Mykonos, Greece, two brothers keep the party going in the hotel after a fierce beach club session – until it all fades to black. Neither of them being able to recall anything of the evenings activities, this recording revealed an insight into a few minutes with one Andrew Burford.

Lunch is discovered in the outer hills, where at an outside table piled with local produce, Andre Amaral recounts an incident with a dog.
