25 hand-made gifts were distributed to a wide cross-section of friends and family. A music cd is mounted on a small white sticker that sits on white paper in the centre of a frame. The frame is wrapped in translucent paper on which the track list is printed, with instructions on the reverse.
The goal of the packaging is for recipients to create artwork on the frame for hanging – being a cd holder is a secondary function. They are supplied with black and red pens to create their piece. Assuming the wrapping is discarded, they must write the artist and track names down to remember them. The surface of the disc is also writable.
