Motown

A refreshed identity was required for Motown, a collection of Australian companies covering graphic design, signage, digital and offset printing, as well as web design and programming.
The new identity embraces its colloquial heritage, based around American pop culture and Detroit’s Motown Records in the decade beginning 1958. Two collages of the era’s icons wallpapered print material and formed the basis for indvidualised business cards in which employees can choose to replace or stand alongside their heroes.
The branding extended to any medium: Aretha Franklin entertains callers while on hold, 60’s batman episodes play on screens in reception and ‘Fragile’ stickers incorporate Stevie Wonder lyrics, unifying identity and function.
